Wu Bohan, guzheng instructor of Boya Guzheng Studio, is dedicated to passing on the beauty of Han music and the art of guzheng to every student.
吴伯涵，伯牙古筝精心工作室的创办人及资深古筝导师，致力于将汉乐的美与古筝的艺术传承给每一位学员。
Wu Bohan began learning the guzheng at the age of eight and has over 20 years of experience in solo, ensemble, and Chinese orchestra performances. He has performed alongside the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and has been actively involved in renowned orchestras such as the People’s Association Youth Chinese Orchestra, Hsinghai Art Association Chinese Orchestra, and the Nanyang Hakka Federation Chinese Orchestra. He also served as the President of the Nanyang Technological University Chinese Orchestra and the Temasek Junior College Alumni Chinese Orchestra, gaining extensive experience in both leadership and teaching.
吴伯涵自八岁起开始习筝，迄今拥有超过20年的独奏、合奏及华乐团演奏经验。曾与新加坡华乐团同台表演，并活跃于人民协会青年华乐团、 星海艺术研究会华乐团及南洋客属总会华乐团等知名乐团。他曾担任南洋理工大学华乐团及淡马锡初级学院校友华乐团团长，在领导乐团和教学方面积累了丰富的经验。
Wu Bohan is one of Singapore's earliest guzheng soloists to adopt the then newly invented fast finger sequencing technique and has performed challenging modern compositions at prestigious venues such as the Singapore Conference Hall and Victoria Concert Hall, receiving wide acclaim. He has a deep understanding of Han music and ancient pieces, especially in Teochew music, Qin opera, Cantonese tunes, Shandong melodies, and Peking opera music, with significant performance experience in each genre.
吴伯涵是新加坡最早使用快速指序技巧的古筝独奏者之一，多次在新加坡大会堂和维多利亚大会堂演奏高难度现代曲目，赢得观众的广泛赞誉。他对汉乐古曲有着深厚的研究，尤其是在曹州乐曲、秦腔、广东曲、山东曲和京剧音乐方面有独到的见解和丰富的演奏经验。
Today, Wu Bohan not only focuses on guzheng teaching but has also co-developed the "Bohya Guzheng Course" with his mentor, Guzheng Maestro Lian Rong Shi, aiming to bring the beauty of Han music and its unique soothing and relaxing qualities to modern urban dwellers. About the Studio
Bohya Guzheng Studio
Our studio is located in Sengkang Compassvale Crescent, providing a cool and comfortable air-conditioned learning environment.
Instruments are well maintained and studio is equipped with optional cameras for recording, replaying, as well as providing zoomed live demonstrations for easy reference and learning.
Here, students can enjoy personalized guzheng lessons while feeling the warmth and relaxation of home. We welcome students of all ages to come and experience the charm of guzheng while exploring the world of music.
